Elevated Boston called Cactus Club Cafe in Back Bay "a grand, beautifully designed space," pointing to its "sleek ceilings, rich millwork, statement lighting, and commissioned public art." Much of that design is built on curves, with two circular bars anchoring the floor, a soffit that sweeps around the main dining room, and slatted walls cut into long, rolling waves. The lighting had to follow every one of those lines, and QTL fixtures trace them without a visible break anywhere in the space.
At both bars, KURV bends to the full radius of the bar front and works as task lighting for the staff. Bartenders get clean, even light across the rail for every pour, and guests see the whole bar face glowing amber from the far side of the room, making it a warm place to settle in. Over in the main dining room, KURV runs through the cove beside the wine wall and carries that same curve overhead in one continuous line.
The wave walls are what people photograph on their way to the table. FLEX Square sits behind the slats and backlights each rolling cutout, so a wall of wood paneling reads as lit sculpture the moment you walk in. The same fixture wraps the round mosaic art pieces in a soft halo that lifts them off the wall and gives each booth its own focal point.
Down at floor level, THIN runs along the base of the red banquettes while WALA glows beneath the booth seating. Together they make the furniture look like it's floating and give guests a softly lit path between tables, all without putting glare at eye level.
Every fixture runs Static White LEDs on QTL QZ power supplies, so four product families share one power platform, and one manufacturer stands behind the whole package. For a restaurant that must look this good every night of service, that's LED lighting for restaurants the owners never have to think about.
