The AISD Center for Visual and Performing Arts (PAC) stands as a testament to the Arlington Independent School District's commitment to Fine Arts education. This purpose-built, district-wide facility, the first of its kind in the district's 134-year history, was completed on time and under budget. Serving more than 84,000 students from kindergarten through 12th grade across 129 schools, the PAC is a hub for artistic excellence and educational opportunities.

The Mueller Development is a sustainable community that fosters architectural, economic, and social diversity, making it an ideal home for the PAC. The facility itself is a beacon of modern design and functionality, featuring flexible spaces for orchestra, band, choir, theater, dance, visual arts exhibitions, and professional development.

The architectural and lighting design of the PAC is both functional and visually striking. A ribbon-like aluminum and steel trellis wraps around the building, leading to a dramatic cantilevered porch at the main entrance. Transparent storefront glazing and translucent polycarbonate panels create a glowing lantern effect during evening performances. Inside, a spacious lobby greets visitors, with a narrow gallery displaying rotating student artwork.

The main auditorium, clad in maple and walnut, seats 1,200 people and features mechanized acoustic drapes that can be adjusted to suit any performance, from a full orchestra to a solo vocalist. Additional facilities include a 250-seat black box theater, a 4,690 sq ft dance studio, a 2,600 sq ft multipurpose room, a kiln room, and individual recording studios.

The PAC not only provides an exceptional venue for Fine Arts performances and training but also offers students opportunities for hands-on learning in logistics, media, and technical theater operations. It stands as a proud symbol of the district's dedication to making Fine Arts education accessible and enriching for all students.
